About Me

Bee Wilder Apiaries came to be during the COVID pandemic, when I found myself reconnecting with "wilder" things. 

In the slower pace of the pandemic, beekeeping books and online courses replaced a hectic schedule and rush hour traffic. 

With more time, I found myself free to explore ethical beekeeping practices and to learn about organic pest control strategies. 

My priority, at Bee Wilder Apiaries, is the welfare of the honey bee colonies, over maximized honey production. 

I believe that honey should be sourced from areas that are more abundant with wildflowers, than high-pesticide or high-traffic areas. That is why both of my bee yards are located next to conservation areas- one in Thorndale, ON and the other in Fullarton, ON.

 

I believe that honey tastes best when it's jarred the same day that it's taken from the hives and extracted from the frames. 

I hope that you'll taste the difference.
